Why Collective Elements

Clear leadership.
Dedicated site delivery.

Collective Elements is a deliberately selective residential building company based in Ballina. Clint Willmott remains your principal contact as Director and Project Manager, coordinating design, programme, commercial decisions and communication from the earliest conversation through to handover. A dedicated foreman holds daily onsite responsibility for each build.

01

One Client Contact

Clint remains your main point of contact as Director and Project Manager, keeping decisions, communication and accountability coordinated.

02

Dedicated Foreman

One foreman is assigned from commencement to handover, leading daily site activity and the trade team without a rotating-supervisor handover.

03

Documented Quality

Clint attends formal site meetings and quality-assurance inspections, with key checkpoints recorded rather than assumed.

04

Quality Over Volume

Only one or two external client projects are accepted each year so every build receives proper attention, planning and finish.

What We Build

Boutique residential projects
built with intent

01

Custom Homes & Knockdown Rebuilds

Architecture-led homes shaped around your site, lifestyle and long-term plans. We become involved early to test planning controls, buildability, value and construction risk before the design is locked in.

Discuss your project →
02

Duplexes

Considered dual-occupancy projects where planning, access, private open space, parking, services and buildability need to be resolved as one coordinated outcome.

Discuss your project →
03

Boutique Multi-Residential

Selective townhouse and multi-dwelling projects for clients who value design quality and experienced delivery. Each opportunity is assessed against project classification and the registrations required before engagement.

Project Fit

The right relationship matters
as much as the right design.

We do our best work with clients who know the outcome they want, value a high-quality finish and trust experienced advice through design and construction.

A strong fit

Considered projects and decisive clients.

  • Custom home, knockdown rebuild, duplex or boutique multi-residential project
  • Ballina, Lennox Head or Byron Bay
  • Quality, design and delivery matter more than the lowest tender
  • Open to early builder input and a negotiated fixed-price proposal
  • Prepared to make selections and decisions in time to protect the programme

Outside our focus

Work that is better suited to another builder.

  • Small maintenance jobs and minor renovations
  • Price-only or competitive tendering with no opportunity for early collaboration
  • Incomplete documentation where a firm construction price is expected immediately
  • Projects where the lowest initial price is the primary decision
Typical construction investment$1M–$2M

We generally consider projects from $750,000 where the scope, documentation, location and overall fit are right.

How We Work

A clear path from
concept to completion

The best outcomes are shaped before construction starts. Our process combines early design input, realistic pricing, documented communication and clear responsibility at every stage. Timeframes below are indicative and vary with project complexity, consultant availability and the approval authority.

01

Project Fit & Feasibility

Typically 2–4 weeks

We review your site, goals, budget, planning pathway and key constraints, then confirm whether the project and working relationship are the right fit.

02

Design Development

Typically 30–60 days

We work with your designer or our preferred design partners and consultants to improve buildability, resolve risk and keep the design aligned with the intended construction investment.

03

Approvals

Council assessment often around 110 days

The consultant team coordinates the required planning and technical information. Statutory timeframes remain subject to the relevant authority and information requests.

04

Fixed-Price Proposal & Contract

Typically around 30 days

A fixed-price building contract supported by a detailed scope. Prime Cost items cover selections still to be made, while Provisional Sums are used only where the final scope cannot yet be confirmed.

05

Construction & Communication

Custom homes typically 6–12 months

Your dedicated foreman leads the site. Clint manages the project and remains your main contact, with weekly Buildxact portal updates, milestone meetings and documented quality inspections.

06

Handover & Aftercare

Completion, documentation and follow-up

Practical completion, an agreed defects process, warranties, certificates and a complete handover pack — followed by ongoing support after you move in.

Client Review

★★★★★

“The finished result is our dream home. It looks beautiful and it works beautifully for us.”

Amanda & Peter, Ballina Camden Street renovation · Completed June 2026

Clint is a builder with integrity. His communication is excellent and he always follows through with what he says he will do. He is a good guy and we always had the feeling he was trying his best for us.

We couldn’t be happier with the quality of work he produced on our renovation. Our expectation was high with many detailed and tricky inclusions. Clint worked with us to produce the vision we dreamed of with honest feedback and fair negotiation when required, finding solutions to inevitable problems with a calm professional attitude.

We would highly recommend Clint and the Collective Elements team to future clients.

“Clint is a pleasure to work with. He is organised, professional and communicates perfectly.”

Nick, Byron Bay Shelley Drive extension & renovation · Completed 2025

Clint takes great pride in the quality of the work. He is also very mindful of expenses and will work very hard to ensure that the client’s dollar goes as far as possible.

We highly recommend Collective Elements — so much so, that we will be using them again for another project.

“I trust Clint’s costings. I do not intend to go out to tender on a future project because I am confident that I will get value for money from Collective Elements.”

They worked efficiently and carefully to install a balcony roof on a seven-storey high-rise apartment building. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Your Project Team

A stable team.
A clear line of accountability.

Collective Elements is led by Clint Willmott, Director and Project Manager. With more than 20 years across residential, high-end finish, medium-rise and commercial construction, Clint applies that experience where it has the greatest impact: design coordination, planning, buildability, programme, commercial control and quality oversight.

Each project is delivered by one dedicated foreman and a handpicked Northern Rivers trade and supplier network. Clients are not passed between a sales team, estimator and rotating supervisors — the project structure is established early and remains clear through construction and handover.

“I remain your main point of contact as Project Manager. The foreman owns daily site delivery, while I manage the broader project, attend formal site meetings and QA inspections, and remain accountable for the outcome.” — Clint Willmott, Director & Project Manager
